The next race on our calendar is the Gas Networks Ireland 5k on Wednesday July 17 at 8pm. Registration takes place from 6.30pm at Cork Boat Club and will close at 7.45pm to allow the race begin on time. The race follows the same route as the recent Musgrave 5k starting on the old railway line and staying completely off road finishing at the further car park nearest Blackrock Castle. GNI have free long sleeve Titan t-shirts for the first 500 runners to enter on the evening. Similar in style to last year’s t-shirts which proved popular and quickly ran out, so get there early to collect yours. Please note that you must register in person to collect your t-shirt to give everyone a fair chance to get one.
To allow the race flow smoothly at the start, there will be signposted sections for runners depending on your expected finish time. The start can be tight so we’re asking runners to sequence yourselves as much as possible in the following categories: under 20 minutes, 20-25 minutes, 25-30 minutes, over 30 minutes.
