The Business Houses Athletic Association is an organisation which promotes a calendar of road races, throughout the year, in Cork.

2012 sees the BHAA celebrate 30 years organising races for business houses in Cork. We have grown bigger year on year since our first races back in 1982. A short history of the Cork BHAA is being compiled and will be available from this website soon.

Membership is open to all people in employment on payment of a €10 registration fee. Races cost €5 for registered members and €10 for non registered athletes.

Cork BHAA is a ‘Not-For-Profit’ organisation, and all proceeds from the races are re-invested into making the race experience even better for every runner. We have many different categories of runner and we pride ourselves on having prizes for each. We also have many spot prizes so you don’t have to finish with the elite athletes to be a winner.

Cork BHAA depends on the volunteer spirit to run it’s races which endears it to the runners. From course measuring, stewarding, compiling of results and all aspects of race organisation, the volunteer effort is key. It is this outlook that helps the BHAA deliver a professional ethic in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price.
